History of the Wakeman Police Department
Before the Wakeman Police Department was fully established in 1953, Wakeman had Town Marshalls.
Some of the Wakeman Town Marshalls were:
Blaine Hurst, Kurt Todd, Raleigh Barnes, Bill Pease, Harold Millhouse, Theodore Timbs.
Chief Skinner, before the purchase of the new Cruiser, would respond to calls in his personal vehicle. The new 1953 cruiser pictured below was actually bought at the Chevy Dealership right here in Wakeman.
